Alex Kabob House: Authentic Middle Eastern Cuisine in Southgate, MI

We had a fantastic time enjoy the labanese food.The hummus was creamy and flavorful, and the shawarma dish was perfectly seasoned. The fattoush salad was fresh and crisp, a great complement to the meal. The warm Arabic bread was fresh and came with a delicious garlic paste that we loved. Parking was easy, the service attentive and friendly, and the menu was filled with a variety of authentic Arabic dishes. Overall, a delightful dining experience that we highly recommend. The service was amazing.

We had never been here before but past by this establishment many times. We have been looking for a good mediterranean restaurant ever since Sish Palace closed. This place has the potential to be a contender! We came here for lunch and, upon walking in, we were told we could sit anywhere we wanted. We took our seats and our server was there almost immediately. Pita bread and garlic sauce were brought to the table and were nice to munch on while waiting for our main courses. I remembered to mention my shellfish allergy before actually ordering and our server stated that all of the dishes are prepared in separate stations to avoid cross-contamination. I ordered the chicken shwarma salad sandwich, my son ordered the falafel sandwich, and my wife ordered the regular chicken shwarma sandwich and added hummus to it. My chicken shwarma salad wrap was really good! The cucumbers added to it provided an amazing crunch and the flavor blended really well with the chicken and garlic. The falafel sandwich was really well seasoned and tasted great as well. The regular chicken shwarma sandwich with the hummus was really good and the chicken shwarma was really tender. The size of the wraps were huge and well worth the prices! Another visite in the near future is certainly on the table!

My husband and I ate here for the first time and we absolutely loved it! We had been trying to find our “place” for kebobs after moving up here from Virginia where we only had one Kebob place. This place completely blew us away. The food is AMAZING. Everything is very flavorful and prepared super well. The inside of the restaurant was very clean and comfortable to eat in. The staff was also very friendly. We will absolutely be back!

Love this place! Food is delicious, and the service is wonderful! The owners come and talk to you every time and ask how you are. They treat you like family. Highly recommend. (Only thing I have to advise is, maybe turn the brightness of the lights down just a tad. It seems just a bit too bright while dining. )

Wow! The service and food were outstanding. So personable and genuinely kind. Each item in the sampler was delicious.

I have lived in the downriver area all of my life, however today was my first visit here for my son's birthday (yes, Chrisoms Eve bday). Absolutely loved the food, the potions and the service. The chix Shawarma was excellent Just the right amount of seasonings without being overly salty which seems to happen much these days. Highly recommend Alex Kabob House. I will be back !

I'm shocked I haven't reviewed here yet. I've been a regular for two years now with my boyfriend and we love it. Our friends and family also love it every time we go. We love the super falafel sandwich, but all their food is great. Everyone is super friendly. Feels like a family.

We’ve had shawarma sandwiches from here before and they’re fantastic. We ordered the Alex plate this time to try a variety of items. Enjoyed how everything had its own wonderful flavor. I wish it was still $29.99, but it fed 3 adults two times, so the value is still there. Absolutely delicious food and I believe the most delightful smelling parking lot I’ve ever been in.
